Jeff began his investment industry career after completing graduate school in 1981. His 30-plus years of concentrated work in the fixed income markets has given him a particularly deep understanding of the municipal, corporate, and government bond sectors. Additionally, his top-down view of the world economy and global investment markets and detailed study of long-term equity and economic market cycles are all part of his skill set to assist clients with investment and wealth management plans, retirement income strategies, portfolio design, and periodic maintenance.
As a portfolio manager in Stifel’s Solutions Program, Jeff manages assets on a discretionary basis using a pre-screened investment approach for clients who choose this advisory services program. This enables him to quickly react to market conditions when implementing his clients’ investment strategies. The result is customized investment management, with strategies tailored to his clients’ specific needs or objectives.
In the municipal credit markets, Jeff's study of bankruptcies and Chapter 9 proceedings provides his team an extensive understanding of measuring relative risk among the various types of municipal bonds and issuers.
Jeff is active in his community, having served on the finance committee of San Domenico School for six years and as a two-time president of the Sleepy Hollow Tennis Club. He lives with his wife and two dogs in Marin County. His son, Colin, is a member of his team, and his daughter, Annika, enjoys a successful career in the music industry. Away from the office, Jeff enjoys playing tennis and classical guitar.
The Solutions program requires a minimum investment, which varies by strategy. Ask your Financial Advisor for a Disclosure Brochure, which further outlines the fees, services, exclusions, and disclosures associated with this program. Since all investment decisions in a Solutions account are made by the Financial Advisor without having to receive prior client approval, it is important that Solutions clients have detailed knowledge of the Financial Advisor’s individual investment philosophy and decision-making process before entrusting him or her with their portfolio. You should consider all terms and conditions before deciding whether the Solutions Program and any particular strategy are appropriate for your needs.

Colin’s talents and interests expand beyond financial services. He is a multiple-competition-winning flutist and an accomplished guitarist. His love of animals has inspired his ongoing work with the Marin Humane Society. In his free time, he enjoys playing music, cooking, and hiking the trails of Marin.
